I hate little kids.

Today I picked up a box of old football cards at the dump. Some, if graded, could be worth hundreds. Others, that might have been worth hundreds, HAVE BEEN DEFACED BY SOME LITTLE KID WITH BLUE INK. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

On edit: Apparently there are comically-challenged people reading this post. IT'S A JOKE FOR PETE'S SAKE.

Little kids don't always know the worth of things.

I understand why you're angry, but I mean, really.

How dare a little kid play with their own stuff rather than save it in pristine condition for someone for to make a fortune out of? How absolutely inconsiderate!!!!!!

Something good has been destroyed. It is not the money, it is the ruination of an item that would be best passed on in great shape, Even though I'm no longer in the business, I can extend sympathy. Once years ago, I bought 3 albums of old post cards. The best were the leather ones. Almost all the great ones were nicely colored with crayons.---The rest--worth about 50 cents each. The leather ones were great! Christmas, Halloween, Easter leather cards, all worthless. I guess we should blame Crayola, not the kids. Sold the whole mess for what I paid for them. Better to not see them again.

Seriously, it hurts to see this old stuff become trash when it would bring joy to someone who loves the subject.
