Last week, on Shala Strouds 32nd birthday, her husband took her out for dinner to celebrate. She posted on her Facebook page that she was blessed.
The next day brought tragedy. Husband Andy Stroud, Shalas sweetheart since third grade, had died in an industrial accident at his workplace.
Its just unbelievable, she said. I was just in shock.
Andy Stroud leaves behind their 4-year-old daughter, Alyse. Shala Stroud is expecting another girl in December.

(14,449 posts)1. Such a shame.
Sad for the kids. The baby that will be born in December will never know his or her father. So sad.
Enjoy today because we are not guaranteed tomorrow.

from a political perspective - I had a connection to someone who died in the twin towers (same deal - he was a banker with a wife, child, baby on the way). Every year I remember him and many mourn, but this guy will be quickly forgotten.
