Finally, I got my ears cleared and I can hear much better!

The left ear was more blocked than the right and took a while but all in all it was a cheerful, no pain procedure. My new doc is a delight and kind of fun. She encourage my careful use of Debrox. I can hear very nicely now.

She is my new primary care doc here in my retirement community and has appointments available a couple of times a month, but an office nearby also. I am in very good shape so this is an excellent situation.

Just kidding.

My wife gets an ear wax buildup that can be painful. Once I had to take her to the ER for an irrigation and removal. As my deductible had not been covered, it cost me $1,500! Last winter when we were in Panama, the condition returned. We went to the local clinic for the exact same procedure. The cost was $15!

No wonder many retiring Americans are emigrating there.

4. You don't even need a doctor to do it. I had a PA in my primary care doc's office do it and it was fine!

I was so worried about my hearing... had no idea you could build up wax like that. What a thing to be so dumb about, but that's how I felt at the time. Also discovered that Q-Tips can do more harm than good!

My left ear was more blocked, as well. Doesn't it feel wonderful to be able to hear again?

had a Masonic bible which I inherited from him so I had proof of my direct link to the Masons). However, I am bothered by the lack of diversity in the population of residents. There are many black people here who attend to residents' needs but no black residents.

…and I really enjoyed the process. I think it was peroxide(?) But whatever it was, it felt great. And I really really enjoyed those first few days of superhuman hearing before the wax started building up again. That was fun.
