Our lilacs are blooming

and my husband, knowing how much I love them, brought in three vases worth of the flowers.

He also doesn't mow over the violets in the yard, until they are done blooming.

My childhood home was bordered on the side by a long row of gorgeous lilacs.

I miss them!

Lilacs and lilies of the valley are my absolute favorite flowers. My blessed grandma had them always in her yard. Heavenly.

My gramma had lilac bushes in her backyard and the fragrance was heavenly. And lilacs are pretty as well as fragrant.

What a wonderful husband to bring you three vases worth and how nice your house must smell!

Around town this year. Might have been helped by a two week freezing weather snap.

Anyone know how they grow in a container?
