(14,394 posts)because I started her at about 6 weeks. Sumu was suspected of having ringworm (she didn't, and I knew she didn't, but I had to give her weekly lime-sulfur baths anyway. When she was small I turned her on her back to bathe her and she liked that, but as she got bigger she wouldn't tolerate that, so then I put a small towel in the sink for her to stand on and we did it that way. She didn't fight it, but she got a bit vocal in the later weeks.
OTOH, I had one cat, Jack (of blessed memory), who turned into the Tennessee chainsaw massacre at the sight of water. Giving him a bath, which we had to do on occasion, required full HAZMAT gear and a lot of bandaids after. For a cat who weighed less than 10 lbs, he could sure inflict a lot of damage when he wanted to!

(1,086 posts)She's fine; she doesn't need it. She never stinks and takes care of herself perfectly well.
