Great popcorn western with great actors and characters. Not oscar worthy, maybe, but good entertainment.

That & Rio Bravo are essentially the same movie & El Dorado is superior in multiple ways.
I'm a sucker for westerns, but not a big Wayne fan. El Dorado (and Big Jake) are exceptions.

When I was in high school nearby (late 1960s), Old Tucson was mostly a movie set.
The outdoor scenes make me nostalgic.
