"embouchures" - the muscle discipline around the mouth for wind instruments: *NO* absolutely *NO* puffing out the cheeks. Those dimples aren't for cuteness.

Can't recognize the other guy at all, but sure it's a name I'll know. (Wayne Bergeron. I peaked at YouTube. Good God, how long has he been around ? Amazing.)
Patrick Hession ???? I've heard the name, but .... never would have occurred to me. I thought it was Arturo (he did his own cover of "Ole'".)

(77,795 posts)explains why I never heard of him (and unapologetically didn't hear out the piece). I just clicked to find out his name. Give me a pass on this, you much esteemed human!
*** It's been one of my Eternal Quandaries, how magnificent artists can create magnificent stuff while being human excrement - Richard WAGNER an outright proto-Nazi, CHOPIN a wreck and wrecker of anybody he came in contact with, PICASSO and untold many others.
Not casting asparagus on Arturo SANDOVAL here since I know nothing personal about him, his apparent jazz prediliction being enough for my castigating.
Nothing to offend you, whom I have long appreciated, just my small mindedness on something not having to do with you!

(77,795 posts)While Classical is my bedrock, I am ruled by *melody* above all, not by genre and lyrics - think Euro-pop. In most of my life I've not been an intentional, big consumer of music and in my last phase still don't seek it out, only let my ears run across what melodies we may in chance, background encounters of commercials, jukeboxes, or the like. I don't sit to watch/listen concerts, movies, t.v. I like a few dozen things in Pop, Easy, Rock, Country, all by MELODY.
Have always limited myself to my bubble euphemistically called "introspection" and shun most extroverted exercises such as busking and self inflated showing-off.
Jazz and rythmn-driven stuff are the least melodic things I can be forced to think about, now ranking with weenie-measuring.
I'll replace the "hate" word with pretending the un-melodic things don't exist at all.
