(25,830 posts)Hope you're doing well, and maybe your first meme had something to do with your ability to get this thread together today.
Thanks for the heartwarming collection.

(22,724 posts)The diverticulitis isn't bothering me. But on top of that, I picked up a respiratory virus. Went back to quick care yesterday and got meds. I tested neg. for Covid and flu. I'm coughing and wheezing, so my sleep is messed up. It's all over down here. My daughter said there might not be school tomorrow.
Thanks for asking. Meams a lot.
True Dough
(25,830 posts)Rest up and kick that bug. Hopefully, the diverticulitis doesn't flare up and you enjoy good health for the long-haul.
Take care.

(5,227 posts)Loved the last three pics the best.
Last year, we had a deer coming into our yard that had THREE fawns! Exciting stuff for retired folks.

(11,525 posts)It's a Tufted ground squirrel. They originally come from the island Borneo.
This link looks obnoxious but it is the first page that came up for me about the squirrel.

I'll watch for them on my next trip to Borneo!
Niagara
(11,525 posts)I really hope that visit to Borneo happens for you in your retirement! You'll have to share photos with us though.

(22,724 posts)Most of the pics I grab have some kind of credit or explanation, but the text doesn't transfer. Thanks for adding explanation and links. I'm constantly amazed at the diversity in nature.
Happy Wed.

(11,525 posts)Someone close to me taught me how to use the Google image search and I've been an addict of using this tool since then.
It's much easier to grab screenshots on Windows 11 as well.
I was curious about the squirrel and I had the time and so I searched it.
Keep up the fantastic work on Sunday that you do for us. Happy Wednesday, Marthe!!

(22,724 posts)We used it mainly to find information about things we'd collected over the years. It's helped us solve lots of mysteries. It's good for anything. I took a picture of a bug last summer, and used Google Lens to identify it.
I have the selection all ready for this Sunday. Really glad you like the memes and pics I post.

(11,525 posts)You're a pleasant person and it's nice having you here on DU.

(22,724 posts)You cheered me up.
I got a double whammy and I sure hope this is the worst I get for awhile. I'll probably be stuck with bronchitis for the rest of the month, but I made plans today so I can hole up and get better. Thanks for the good wishes
Niagara
(11,525 posts)Yay, I'm happy that I was able to cheer you up, Marthe!
I'm sorry, it's no fun being under the weather. Stay rested and stay hydrated. You're welcome for the good wishes!

Happy Sunday!

(1,054 posts)I do hope you shake off the bug and feel better soon! Knowing you are under the weather yet still put your limited energy into giving us these wonderful pics and memes shows your dedication to DU and honor to SCEs legacy.

(39,766 posts)You certainly went above and beyond the call of duty posting these while being under the weather (as I saw mentioned above). Not being able to sleep when fighting a virus is the absolute pits! I hope your meds knock it out of the park!

(22,724 posts)Thank you. So far, doing all I can. I haven't been sick since Feb. 2022. Hoped I'd never catch anything again :/
