Hey NFL...when will be the first Super Bowl on a pay for view app? I say 5 years max

Christmas day took TWO pay for view streaming services to see any of the three games. Today it takes TWO MORE pay streaming services. NFL Network and Peacock to see the two games.

The five games:
Netflix
Netflix
Prime
NFL Network
Peacock

Baseball game since the player's strike of many years ago. World Series included. It wasn't a labor/management thing, It was one bunch of rich guys against another bunch of rich guys.

I need the NFL a lot less than they need me. Fuggem if they decide to totally leave the public airwaves. I'm not chasing after them.

Ever since all games were on networks and then they started putting some games on ESPN. That was the beginning. We had/have ESPN but she's always thinking of other people.

I feel sorry for the fans, though. Going to see a game live and in person is expensive enough, but now you have to pay to see it in your own living room? Yikes.

Why bother in the first place. To each his/her own, not for me.

Yes, I agree that's crazy! But if they move all games to streaming or other pay networks, wouldn't they lose that designation? Doesn't broadcast TV need to remain an option for viewers? IANAL, so I don't know that for sure.

I doubt they will move it to pay per view. Companies pay millions to air the commercials, so the networks are willing to pay through the nose to air it. They get a bigger audience over the air. I think the trend towards pay per view for regular season games will continue, though.

go ahead and sign up for a month with a service just to watch it one freakin game. Hours of commercials and you'll have to pay to watch them.

Hmmm, just like cable TV that I haven't had now for about 10 years.
