(130,623 posts)of the tree. Of course the cat, Gerry, smelt the great outdoors in the tree and promptly pee-ed on the tissue paper which stained the carpet red and green. We never used tissue paper again.
Merry Christmas!

(2,090 posts)Allow me to share this charming tidbit from the Facts Republic website.

"According to Welsh mythology and folklore, fairies once rode corgis into battle, using the small dogs as their war steeds. Stories say the fair folk also hitched them to tiny fairy carriages and used them to herd their cattle across hidden fields. Traditional tales claim the saddle-shaped markings on a corgis coat come from the fairy tack and harness that once rested on their backs."
I now would like a Battle Corgi so that I can strike fear into the hearts of my enemies. (Assuming that they don't fall all over themselves cooing with delight.)

(42,586 posts)I love Corgis and I love fairies, too. I've never seen a real fairy, so I was complaining about it and then I got to see one! They move so fast they're almost a blur and they glow from within. I have a picture of it, too!
Remember how the queen used to always have her Corgis around? She must have seen a lot of fairies.
Ralps, thank you. I see how diligent our kitty is in scratching Santa in the 2nd pic. They are nothing if not diligent with matters involving claws. It's their not-so-secret power.
Here's my contribution, a kitty quote:
