I had a tire which was leaking so I went there to have it checked. Well it was a roofing nail in the tread, and they fixed the leak and rotated my tires. No charge!! I did not even buy the tires there - they are the ones which came on my car when I bought it.

I have also bought tires from Pep Boys, and their service is good but it can't surpass Discount Tires.

Wherever you end up buying them, be sure you buy the warranty.

Perhaps true of all tire shops, but a couple of times, I've received an $80 Vosa card for buying 4 Michelins.

I usually like Discount Tire because of their customer service, but the last couple times I have taken advantage of the dealership with a Buy 3, get the 4th for $1 promotion. They have them a couple times a year.

If you do use a car dealer, cross check multiple dealer locations as the prices do vary from one to the other.

They rotate the tires for the life of the tires at no extra cost.

Shop tires and prices like your detective. Watch for sales. Tire companies will order what you want.

I’ve had good experience with Cooper Tires. I usually go to Firestone, Big O or Costco.

They sometimes sell used tires and you could save a LOT of money. Just Google "tire repair shops near me" and seek out the ones in less-than-affluent neighborhoods.
