In the 90's, I worked for a guy I can only describe as a trump precursor. He was the smartest guy in the room and the best at everything - and, not shockingly, was on his way to his third wife at the time.

Once in a meeting, he was angry about something the employees did and they needed to know about it. He wanted me to write his words down "probatim" and have one of the managers (also in the meeting) share these with the employees.

I, being a colossal smartass, responded with - you want me to take these down word for word? For free (assuming he crossed up verbatim with pro bono)? Not realizing my sarcasm, he rambled on for the next ten minutes getting angrier and angrier.

Leaving the meeting, my colleague, who was smart enough to know I was busting the boss' chops, reminded me that he had a house and two kids and couldn't afford to laugh out loud at my antics.

I really enjoyed reading all the posts on that thread a few weeks ago about the explanation of their user names. Just read the Probatim story on here. Love it! 😊

I always loved that username.

Did she get a pizza delivery? I don't remember and I was off DU during the Obama years because I didn't have nearly as much to rant about
