Hey Grandpa. What's for supper?

Smoked baby back beef ribs, baked potatoes, and brussels sprouts.

I smoked the ribs. Herself did the veggies. Not a bad way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Reminds me of my days as a Navy cook on the destroyer USS Sampson.

I fed about 400 guys every day, but I gotta say we never had pulled pork.

I also can't accommodate anything like 500 folks. This ain't a destroyer.

That was over 50 years ago. I can still crack eggs with one hand though.

I do well to crack an egg with both hand and keep shell bits out of the egg.

I'm afraid the only thing useful I learned in the Army was the phonetic alphabet.

I'm fond of Meat Church rubs, especially The Gospel.

After the final cook wrapped in foil, I cook another 15 minutes with BBQ sauce cut with apple cider vinegar.
