Dave Grohl & Taylor Hawkins telling a funny story

I’d love to see this story done in animated form.
Have any of you read Dave’s book? I keep forgetting about it but would love to read it. He’s such a natural storyteller.

I had never seen them before. Not quite my taste in music. I’m in my late 60’s. I was blown away. I have never seen a band have as much fun playing. Full of stories. My favorite had a very high and drunk Taylor and Dave driving home followed by a policeman. The punch line was Taylor telling Dave to “just dive like you’re straight”.

I’m from NoVa so have been to the 9:30 (the old one and the “new” one) many, many times.
They must have blown the room away! What an experience! I’m jealous, lol.

My daughter worked at 9:30 through hr time in college at American in DC. Continued to sell merch on weekends when she moved in to a real job. Anyway, I fly in on a Thursday afternoon, and my daughter had tickets for a “surprise” 9:30 show that night. No idea who was playing. I am in the audio business. Totally blown away. The ultimate drum sounds. Taylor on Gretsch drums. I have never heard anything as good.

Thanks for your original post!
