(51,684 posts)The real answer: in the old days of hand-drawn animation, the Ink and Paint department used a mixture of those three chemicals to recycle animation cel stock - they would wash the cels in this brew to clean them off then use them to make another movie.

(51,684 posts)1. 1001 fiendish plans.
2. Snidely's contract had a clause allowing the studio to terminate his employment if, in the event of talkies, Snidely spoke like Dudley Do-Right.
3. Those three chemicals form a solvent that removes ink and paint - what Toons are actually made of - from animation cels. It was the standard cel cleaner in the early days of animation. I suspect the people in the Ink and Paint Department didn't live all that long if they had to work with this.
4. "I use antlers in all of my decorating...my, what a guy, Gaston!"
5. No; rather, it would have bent up the latch so badly the door would have never opened.

7. Every cut and every feather is a different and delicious flavor.
8. The only thing the Cheesebridge City Council does in chambers is eat cheese, and Snatcher is severely allergic to cheeses.
9. The Bank of Evil was formerly Lehman Brothers.
