about you? What have you regretted buying online? Tools, clothing, gadgets. etc .
Many years ago I thought for sure that I would like the rug but alas I did not and had to pay costly return shipping. Lesson learned!
I recently needed a pair of sneakers and was so disappointed in the selection at Dicks and Foot Locker. I vowed that was the last time I would ever set foot in a dying mall. And that was after ordering a few pairs online that did not fit.

(29,887 posts)I am quite top heavy. Finding clothes that fit those features with shoulders and sleeve length is most problematic
Costa Rica has few plus size clothing outlets either.

Did find some beautiful women's dress shoes made by Rockport there. Incredibly comfortable.

(127 posts)We live in a separate bungalow behind my son's house, when we first moved in 5 years ago we only had a half bath, no shower/tub, in our bungalow. In order to take a shower we would have to go outside and upstairs to my son's house. I ordered, from Amazon, a portable bathtub, but after opening it up, putting it together and trying to fill it, we found it more impractical then going up stairs to the main house. When I ordered it I did not realize it was being shipped from China, returning it was impossible, so I lost $100.00. It has been sitting in storage in a box for the past 4 years. But we have the best shower in the world installed 2 years ago in our bungalow!

(64,926 posts)I have bought so many dresses that didn't fit or looked terrible. Some I manage to return, others take up space in my closet. Now that I'm overweight it's even worse. Sizes make no sense, quality is terrible.
Maybe I'll just never wear a dress again.

I normally don't buy clothing items online because I like to feel what the material is like and check to see if it will fit me. Most of the clothing I buy is from the Navy Exchange or from Costco.

(210 posts)I went to the Navy Exchange to see what they had. The shoes I had were size 10.5, which is normal, but they felt loose. I used on of one of those metal devices that measures your foot and it said both feet are size 11. How could it be that my size 11 feet felt loose in a size 10.5 shoe. So I tried on a size 10 shoe and it fit perfectly. I took a 3-mile walk in them, later, with no problems.
I think that the reason for the difference in sizes has to do with the manufacturer. That's why I like to see, feel, and examine clothes and shoes before buying.

(9,972 posts)My son has a size 14 shoe so it's not really a size that's carried inside most stores.
Once I discovered this online store, I started purchasing shoes for myself from there.
One time, I didn't look at the photo of the bottom of the shoe treads online (massive mistake on my part). Every time it rained or after it rained, walking on certain surfaces was like walking on ice from the lack of tread on the bottom of the shoes. This could happen to anyone either in-store or online shopping, so make sure you always check out the treads. I can't stress this enough.

I am at 60% or so for such things working out as intended.
