It's just taking up space since I've retired and don't take treats to work anymore.

mostly on Craigslist cuz I found Facebook brought out more scammers than CL. I was only marginally successful. There's sooooo much stuff for sale it's stunning! I had a barely used 11-cup food processor & there were at least seven other ones at the same time, the same size or larger, slightly more used. China, same thing. There's so much china for sale it's amazing. IMO it's total luck to find the person who likes & wants your pattern. I ended up giving most of my stuff away to a group of people in need, & a big cake taker was one item, & she was so happy to get it!

I unpacked it & checked all the pieces & then packed it back up & put it in my basement. Every year my mother would give me a matching piece which also ended up in the basement. I never used it, not once, & the boxes were kind of grody from being in the basement for 30 years but the woman I gave it to cried & sent me three text messages afterwards thanking me. The group I gave things to all lost their homes in a fire. The gratitude they had when getting the simplest things was amazing. ❤️

and friends is worth the hand washing. And I used the crystal glasses, cut glass serving ware, the nice flatware, the chargers and the tablecloth with matching cloth napkins. I created a beautiful floral centerpiece and candles too.

I enjoy making others feel special with an occasional elegant experience.

I wish she'd get rid of something. They're all attacked together and it weighs a ton if you have to move them. I usually do it in 2 trips.

I always call them kitchen gadgets, but she quickly corrects me. They are all essential cooking supplies. I’ve learned not to argue that point. Every house we’ve moved into, the kitchen keeps getting larger. The pantry keeps getting larger. But, I have to say, whatever we decide to make, we have the “essential cooking supply” to perform the task. Everything’s very organized, so who am I to complain.

"The hottest new vegetable kitchen tool available today!" I have no idea where it came from or how to use it. I keep forgetting to donate it when making up a box for the local thrift store. Maybe if I put it on top of the Chock Full O' Nuts coffee container, I'll remember it. That's something I use every day!

From 1600 sq ft house to 975 sq ft senior apt. Gah!

Just donated a bunch of Halloween and Christmas stuff.

Kitchen is next.😢 I have cast iron skillets from my Mama and both Grandmamas. A three tiered stand for tea goodies - never used.

Sadly, I am the small kitchen appliance Queen!😢 If they make one I have it. Just donated the last of the Pampered Chef stuff. Ugh!

So, yeah!

Why did I want allllll this stuff?

Edited to add Don’t even get me started on holiday table linens, pillows, hand towels, and kitchen towels. Ugh!

I have a senior move manager job that we help downsize and help the seniors identify stuff they will need when they move to a senior living residence. So much stuff we end up donating and disposing of. Since I do this as a part time job I’m too lazy to do at home but I’m making it a New Year’s resolution !

Plastic is not safe, period.
I have been replacing everything with glass, ceramic, wood, or stainless.
