Gawd, it's often embarrassing to be of the same species who would do this to a dog!

Was cowering and afraid when my girls saw her in the shelter. My older daughter told me they wanted her. I told them go ahead site unseen. She turned into a very successful agility dog we had for 15 years before she passed and joined her adopted brother. I miss her and really miss him (he was two years older - A collie - border collie mix we got from the same shelter two years earlier). Had a Beagle for our first dog.
