It was loud, for a long time. But I was glad about it because one of them does almost no yard work. It’s nice to see them getting a clue to maintain the yard (or I should say, the weeds) at least occasionally .

Leaves are still falling here (NoVA) and this was the first decent weather in a while.

Whatever happened to using a rake and a broom?

My lawn service came last week and cleaned my 1/3 acre lot in about an hour. 5 big trees. I have allergies or I'd do it. Everyone around me has riding mowers. Instead of all of them mowing the same day, there is someone shaving their yard every day of the week. Or using blowers, or cutting down trees. With global warming, the break from the noise is getting shorter and shorter. I'm surrounded by idiots.

Better yet, he might not have a lawn at all next spring if he keeps hacking at it when it's dormant.

And naturally, he has a big, industrial one.
