What about you? Mine were never on the tree. I gave them to my mother every year but they disappeared. to the land of misfit ornaments.

(5,988 posts)Small glued cupcake cups with glitter or whatever, at the top his picture where he combed his hair, for picture day, straight up in the middle. It makes us laugh every year.

This was in the late 70s and I still have a few of them.

(290 posts)We would blow up balloons and wrap them decoratively (I. E. Randomly) with string soaked in Elmers. When the glue dried we would pop the balloons and hang the string shapes on the tree.

(6,776 posts)When I was around 10 I cut two identical pieces of felt for each one, stuffed them with cotton balls and hand-stitched them together. Then trimmed them with smaller bits of felt. We still have two of them, more tham 60 years later.
Mine were rather poorly stitched and crude, but this is something like them
