Do you remember a holiday ornament you made as a child? What was it? I made a star from popsicle sticks and glitter.

What about you? Mine were never on the tree. I gave them to my mother every year but they disappeared. to the land of misfit ornaments.

Small glued cupcake cups with glitter or whatever, at the top his picture where he combed his hair, for picture day, straight up in the middle. It makes us laugh every year.

Then we'd bake them solid and paint them after they cooled.

This was in the late 70s and I still have a few of them.

We would blow up balloons and wrap them decoratively (I. E. Randomly) with string soaked in Elmers. When the glue dried we would pop the balloons and hang the string shapes on the tree.

A red construction paper "santa" made of folding it like an accordion, so his arms and legs dangle...his cotton beard is still glued on!

to make ornaments based on Ojo de Dios. The different sizes and colors made for some vibrant additions to the tree. Very long time ago, and some of them were given to folks who'd never heard of them.

When I was around 10 I cut two identical pieces of felt for each one, stuffed them with cotton balls and hand-stitched them together. Then trimmed them with smaller bits of felt. We still have two of them, more tham 60 years later.

Mine were rather poorly stitched and crude, but this is something like them
