(51,608 posts)Several months ago I was providing emergency housing to someone who owns two cats. One of them is this really glorious-looking orange-and-white longhair.
Before she brought him in she was like "is Rotten going to attack him?" No, Rotten likes other cats a lot.
So we let the orange cat out. He saw Rotten and he immediately assumed the pose like the cornered cat in Gary Larson's "trickery! Trickery! Trickery!" cartoon. Lots of hissing from the orange cat. Rotten (who is a Siamese) is looking at me like "what in the hell is this?"
Half an hour later he was using Rotten as a pillow.

(9,914 posts)Sometimes cats can really surprise me.
I had an indoor/outdoor neighbor cat that always got into cat fights with other indoor/outdoor neighboring cats.
He surprised me one day and was playing with and grooming an unknown kitten that was hanging out on our street.
