My job threatened over comments on a website

The substack South Arkansas Reckoning, which did a lot of work I respected about a year ago, has been going rogue, jumping on the RFK Jr train, playing his game. The most recent evidence of this is its featuring of a 2023 article from a low impact journal (not as often cited in other journal articles as its peers) an article whose lead author is a psychiatrist, not a microbiologist, not an immunologist.

https://www.southarkansasreckoning.com/p/will-rfk-jr-wage-war-over-spikeopathy

The study concluded that mRNA in the COVID vaccines is causing widespread adverse side effects to the point that it should not be administered. I responded to South Arkansas Reckoning's portrayal of this article as conclusive that the entire mainstream media lied the world into taking a vaccine that causes nothing but harm by saying yes, the vaccine can cause adverse side effects---in 3 to 5,000 people who take the vaccine out of the MILLIONS and MILLIONS who have taken it. That fact is left out of the South Arkansas Reckoning article.. We only receive description of this one study as if it were the only authority on the matter of the vaccines' efficacy and potential to do harm. The study is important. It is suggestive. It needs follow up studies.

But it is not in and of itself a reason to avoid COVID vaccines or to risk COVID. The full context in which the study (and all studies) was done and the full context of it with regard to what other studies have shown is needed. And I wrote my critique of the treatment of the study in the article by Richard Owens.

He got angry. He found out I'm a reporter for a news website. He told me to shut up. It looked like he was going to take down my comments.

I did not take that well. I said that the whole exchange could be placed in my facebook in minutes. (I have literal single digits of people who read me, love them each as I do.)

Then his friend who also runs South Arkansas Reckoning came on and asked if I was threatening them. And said she would email my boss. She mentioned one owner of the website I work for by name.

That's a South Arkansas Reckoning for you. That's who they are. Draw your own conclusions. I have. I'm ending my subscription. It's not worth $60 a year.

Americans turning on each other and making all kinds of daily threats.

The UNunited states of American.

Putin vowed to break up the US and he did a superb job of it.

Was able to trick UK into leaving the EU.
Installed his puppets across European governments.

And does it all over the globe, starting civil wars to produce immigrants
to the US and Europe and then can install his puppets who run on the immigration issue.

His puppets don't actually need to win elections, just make them popular enough
to cover his election rigging.

Putin also likes to choose puppets who are crazy, incompetent, crazy.
He does this to make countries look foolish and to degrade the quality of leadership.

To show that they think democracy doesn’t work. And now we have half the country falling for it. It makes me sick.

Because voters are ignorant, uninformed, easily manipulated.

The concept of We The People was the greatest innovation in human history.
The idea that regular people had the power, not the rich elite.

The world's autocrats and billionaires are done with democracy.
It must be destroyed. They want all the power and all the cash.

Healthcare, education, military, safety net, standard of living, rule of law, democracy.

Americans manipulated into thinking that destroying the country is the way to go.

Burn it all down is the voters deepest wish.

A sense of fear, anger, hatred must be installed and ramped up all the time.

Think. Again.

I guess they want to keep their work and their readers bubbled, and not expose themselves (or their readers) to differing (possibly opposing!) opinions like yours.

Better for the echo-chamber that way.

This is about people who do not want their claims to have to compete fairly in the marketplace of ideas — because their claims can’t withstand scrutiny and open debate — resorting to bullying and intimidation.

You engaged with them seriously and in good faith. Some of us would not have given them that. Would have just laughed at them and told them to ask the fairies and wood sprites they probably believe in for help when they are dying of a preventable illness.

Capitalism needs regulation to prevent morphing into fascism, which to me is the conjoining of big business and government.
