At the corner of Bourbon and Orleans in New Orleans. Another night with My Wonderful Wife. Jazz Music wafting in the air. A To Go Cup of Bud in my hand and my wife sipping her Virgin White Russian. A stroll towards Canal to check out the latest tacky t-shirts in the tacky T-shirt shops. We head to Cafe DuMonde to have beignets and Cafe Au Lait as a night cap. Nary a trouble to contemplate as the bands play on.

from the attic. Gutter lights put up which is my least favorite part of outside decorating. The rest is fun and easy. Eighteen fruitcakes happily soaking in Capt Morgan’s.

had to stay behind at the end of the day and do armpit farts, because we were getting punished for doing armpit farts all day.

And some of the kids started crying, because 90 minutes straight of armpit farts makes your armpits sore.

he said 'shit' My Mom put him on the couch and told him he had to sit there and say shit for a half hour or so. He sat there saying shit over and over. After a few minutes he asked if he could stop, and my Mom said, "NO!" And my little brother, by now, crying, said, "Oh, Sshhhiiittt!"
If this punishment was meant to discourage him from cussing, it didn't work.

I don't know if it is more the news that's coming across, or just the attitude here. But maybe I'll stick to my small support forums and stay off the general board because it's just making me depressed

4 strand barbed wire, steel t posts, one mile. up a granitic hill/mountain. one gate. elevation gain is about 1000 to 1300 feet. most has to be hand built, too steep and rocky for atv or other machinery. neighbor said using a helicopter to drop materials was actually cheaper on his project, although it was much longer and in even rougher country.

YIKES!

Mind sharing what kind of livestock and roughly where?

We live in the inland west and lost fencing (and home and barn) to fire.

You are looking for cost estimate?

Cochise County. mostly commercial beef cattle, a few horses and currently one water buffalo. LOL

family ranch, homesteaded in 1880's, oddly there has never been an accidental fire of a building here as far as I know. the fences are mostly just so old they need replacing anyway but up on the "mountains" they are even more brittle due to burns.

I feel bad bc I've been posting for months but I'm not supposed to talk about it at home.

I paid a specialist 32k to fix my jaw with prepaid dental work. A few months ago, he reapplied a piece of plastiic to my lower jaw by shoving my lower jaw back, HARD. I knew he hurt me immediately and vocalized my distress, being blown off with the jaw is stable, push wasnt that hard. IOW, I'm an over sensitive nut and use moist heat til it settles down.

Its been months. Loud ear ringing (he mentioned hearing aids!), headaches migrating arnd my skull, cheek pulsing and tingling...its like my skull and facial nerves were pushed out of alignment and lower jaw pushed back into ears. Scared symptoms will get worse.

Ots pain meds don't work . Jaw pain. He basically feels the jaw pop is fixed, so??? I should have neurological damage?!

Finally called a lawyer . One said hey xrays and or mri. Moving forward I'll b working w my dr to c an ENT person re ears and hope to finally get an appmnt to explain this bizarre situation. Worried my eye twitching from this. Have crown-of-head headache.

I was taking a fly-in trip in far northern Ontario. The plane was a de Havilland DHC-2 Beaver with a yoke that could be could flip from left to right. The pilot Arthur had to take a pee, using a coffee can. He had me take the controls for about two minutes while he whizzed away. He was quite the character!

Inside Rio Tinto’s most advanced mine

Six minutes, nineteen seconds.

Sky News Business Editor Edward Boyd has travelled to Rio Tinto’s Gudai-Darri mine in Western Australia to see the mining corporation's newest and most technologically advanced mine.

This is the first large-scale media trip Rio Tinto has hosted since the Juukan Gorge scandal – which saw 46,000-year-old aboriginal shelters blown up by the company.

The $3.1 billion Gudai-Darri mine began its production in 2021 and reached its capacity of 43 million tonnes in less than four months.

Rio Tinto plans to invest a further $130 million – expanding the mine's output to 50 million tonnes.

Gudai-Darri uses autonomous trucks, drills, water carts and trains – as well as remote control robots that inspect conveyor belts for bearing failures and damage.

The driverless trucks only stop to be refuelled or serviced.

Because I feel like I’ve wasted 10 years serving the public and my loans probably won’t be discharged (though PSLF is the law). Some days I feel like I’ve messed up my life. But I’m 50 and there is no going back at this point. And I’m afraid I didn’t live a good enough life.

Sorry if that is too heavy.
