HEAVY CREAM, WATER, SUGAR, CORN SYRUP, NONFAT MILK, LESS THAN 2% OF: TAPIOCA MALTODEXTRIN, MONO- AND DIGLYCERIDES, CARRAGEENAN, NATURAL FLAVOR. PROPELLANT: NITROUS OXIDE.

I keep a cannister of it in my fridge along with Hershey's chocolate syrup. I put a generous dallop of Hershey's in a tablespoon & top with Redi-whip. It is sooooooo good. To answer your pie question, I like ice cream with my pie. Preferably a very strong vanilla. Dryer's Vanilla Bean used to be THE best vanilla ice cream but it's not around anymore.

Were cream. There might have been some other chemicals in there. I haven't looked in a long time. Check it out next time you're in the store.

Real cream with a little sugar and a splash of vanilla, whipped into submission either by hand or machine.

I don't know why, but ice cream just doesn't go with pumpkin or pecan pie. Go figure.

Warm cream just won't whip well. I use a stainless steel mixing bowl and a hand mixer, and I put them in the freezer. I usually put the cream in the freezer for about 20 minutes before I whip it.

Egg whites, on the other hand, must be room temperature to whip properly.

Oh yes, my preference is real fresh whipped cream. If that is not available Redi Whip will do just fine/

It doesn't add extra flavors to the pie, just accentuates the filling and spices...

Apple pie? Cheddar cheese
Peach pie? Vanilla ice cream. Same with berry pies?
Pumpkin pie? Whipped cream (real)
Pecan pie? Nothing
Strawberry Rhubarb? Also, nothing.

If pressed, Cool Whip is my least favorite of the choices but I’ll still take it.
