Have you ever been around one of these things? I know. Minor risk, yes, but I repeat, at least vaguely cruel.

thus are at the "mercy" of whoever programs the damned thing. I've seen the larger versions of similar technology displayed and later malfunction (in warehouse settings causing injury to human workers' hands/arms).

No. I am concerned for the dog as we all should be, disagree or not. I would never let a dog of mine near one.
