Confused Trump, 79, Fooled by Foreign Trolls Posing as MAGA in Holiday Posting Spree
I really suspect that part of why Trump has more support than he ought to still is because of all the foreign bots promoting him. That's why it's so critical for people to think carefully about what they believe online and who they interact with. Stick with reputable sources and facts. This is a good article because it has clear proof that the accounts are indeed foreign but note upon closer inspection actually they are just citing this article which did the heavy lifting: https://meidasnews.com/news/trump-amplified-several-foreign-based-maga-accounts

The president, 79, posted on his Truth Social platform about 150 times throughout Christmas Day attacking the media, Democrats, and Somali immigrantsamongst other regular targetsand amplifying baseless claims made by his allies and fans.
He also promoted his cheerleading section on the rival social media platform X, where users screen-shotted the presidents Truth Social posts and added their own praise.
Trump then screen-shotted that praise on X and reshared it back over on Truth Social, apparently basking in the digital cross-platform applause.
But an analysis by Meidas News found that 17 of the X posts that Trump shared were from accounts based outside the U.S.

(3,170 posts)"The question remains, why doesn't Trump, who champions America First slogans, use actual supporters based in the United States? "
I can think of two reasons:
1. His US base is shrinking fast.
2. He is very uncurious. As long as he is fawned over, he doesn't care where the accounts are from. Since they look like maga accounts, he probably just believes they are they are based in the US.

(2,248 posts)They have already committed themselves to a politics that will only get the support of 20% of the eligible voters (35% of the actual voters). There really is no turning back if they move on to Theil/Vance. They will have to complete the destruction of the electoral process.
