The decision made by any state legislature should have been easy. It’s dealing with a selfish petulant child. His concern is not for any state, just packing legislatures with lemmings. But when their own number came up, then they finally grew a spine. Don’t paint them as noble patriots at this late date.

BUT it was the right thing to do. There is nothing noble about republicans. Nor patriotic. They are scum from top to bottom.

Redistricting could threaten any one of their cushy government jobs, if they sliced and diced just a little too much and misfigured the mood of the electorate.

And that ends up making other districts a bit more blue.
The irony is that the states where Gerrymandering is being done are pretty well Gerrymandered in the first place, so redistricting may bite them on their own ample posterior.

I saw Indianapolis had four sections included into four different rural districts in order to dilute the minority votes.

Republicans are not known for being welcoming to minority voters.
