The Dworkin Report - Press Shrugs Shoulders After Trump Admits to Lying About Lowering Grocery Prices

Yesterday, the biggest pathological liar in American history admitted he lied about his campaign promise to slash grocery prices. Trump said it won’t be an easy task after all, calling it “very hard.”

Since this story was teed up so perfectly, I actually expected the Press to cover it properly. Wow, was I wrong.

Most outlets just repeated Trump’s garbage about it being “very hard” to lower prices. There were a handful that called it “walking back a pledge,” and only a couple opinion pieces that actually said Trump lied. Which he did.

But the two absolute worst were Fox “News” and CNN. Fox basically ignored the whole thing as if it didn’t happen. And CNN decided to go with this ridiculous headline: “Trump just said groceries will be more affordable ‘very soon.’ He’s also said that it might be very hard to achieve.” Beyond ridiculous.
