Excerpts: "This past week, the Democrats stopped trying to win the election by simply saying that their candidate isn’t Donald Trump.
This past week, the Democrats stopped trying to convince Americans that the economy was actually better than they are seeing, feeling, and experiencing, and started coming up with new ideas about how to address the price of gas, milk, childcare, and housing.
This past week, the Democrats stopped simply saying that Republicans were being angry, pessimistic, and backward looking, and instead started acting on a campaign with hope, optimism, and a vision for the future. This past week, the Democrats thanked their old leader sincerely, gave their old guard all due respect, but then moved on, and let a new generation of leaders grab the torch.

Just a few short weeks ago, the Democrats were the party of old, stale, tired, boring, and no longer up to the job. After one week in Chicago, it was the Republicans who were laid bare as the old, the stale, the tired, the boring… the party and its leader no longer up to the job.

In the end, it was – as it should be — all about the strength and charisma of the person in charge. Yes, Black, but nowhere in her acceptance speech defining herself by race. Yes, a woman, but not once even touching the subject of whether her gender is the reason to vote for her. No, the reason she offered for why she should be elected the next President of the United States were the five words that have defined every moment of her career. Kamala Harris, for the people. Kamala Harris did not simply rise to the moment, she defined the moment...
