Scoop: Trump set to reclassify marijuana soon

Source: msn/Axios

2h

The Trump administration is expected to move to reclassify marijuana as soon as Wednesday, per an administration official familiar with the matter.

Why it matters: The move would make it easier to study medicinal applications of marijuana and could shore up support from influencers who support the research.

How it works: Reclassifying marijuana eases U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration barriers to researching the drug's potential use cases.

  • It would not immediately legalize marijuana, nor would it affect the sentences of those incarcerated for possession.

  • Catch up quick: Trump signed an executive order to reclassify the drug last December, directing the attorney general to pick up President Biden's push to change the federal laws prior to leaving office.

  • At the time, Trump said the move "has been requested by American patients suffering from extreme pain, incurable diseases, aggressive cancers, seizure disorders, neurological problems, and more."

Pretty sure Rogan is a fan of legalization and this would be a huge hit with him and his followers.

TBH it would be a hit with me too, but I'm smart enough to not let it change my opinion of Needy Amin…

High damned time, too. But with Schlump at the helm, one can't help but be suspicious of ulterior motives. I hate this hellscape we're living in where nothing is what it appears to be.

like the earlier E.O. related to psychedelics (throwing some red meat to MAHA), and the rest is distraction.

They charge over $100 to "certify" the need so you can get a state card to purchase.. What a scam...
I guess they will take down the "medical" part of the sign and keep chugging along.
