Iran hawk Lindsey Graham deflects when asked by Fox News host if war will cost GOP the midterms

Source: The Independent

Lindsey Graham dodged questions about whether the ongoing war in Iran will hurt Republican chances in the upcoming midterm elections. The South Carolina senator, who has been one of the biggest champions of the U.S. military operations in the Middle East, trotted out previous party lines on the conflict, even when asked directly by Fox News’ Bret Baier

“Do you think this war that we’re in, and this fight over ICE, is hurting reelection chances for Republicans in the fall?” Baier said during the interview on Saturday. “I think President Trump is stopping a homicidal maniac regime from acquiring a nuclear weapon, and if you don’t treat them that way, you’ve missed a lot in the last 47 years,” Graham replied. “And if we can get a deal, let’s do it.”

The senator has been one of the most vocal supporters of the president’s campaign, nicknamed Operation Epic Fury, and has long expressed a public desire to see military operations in Iran.

Since the campaign began, he has continued to heap constant praise on the president and Israeli forces and threatened other countries in the wider Arab region who have not struck Iran, as well as Cuba and even Spain. His ardor has been so intense that it even prompted a Republican congresswoman to challenge him to go and fight in Iran himself.

Of course my preference is the primary since it will be more humiliating and the drunken sobbing will be more intense.

Hope the South Carolina Democratic party has some good candidates. I really want them to win this. Especially since Graham Cracker doesn't give a damn about his own state.

To realize, that the issues at stake are no longer about what benefits the Republicans or Democratic parties. The issue is now about the soul of a Nation and what will become of that Nation. Donald Trump with the consent of the GOP Congress and support of the SCOTUS is destroying the Nation for reasons both known and unknown. I suspect one reason that the parties are gutting the Federal Government as we know it is because of a blowback to the New Deal of the 1930s. Another reason is rejection of all the social progress that has occurred in the past 50 years. And then, there is just the greed of the rich and their desire to put the populace in their place.

There’s something happing here….

... mutant trolls like Graham, I wonder what the everlasting fuck are they good for? My first thought is, fertilizer. But our soil is already polluted with toxic waste, so that's out. A good example of a BAD example? An object lesson in the potentially fatal dangers of conservatism as a life choice?
Sigh... there really is NO redeeming value in something as loathsome and malicious as a Lindsey Graham.

Caving on a "homicidal maniac regime from acquiring a nuclear weapon."
Proving everything he said before was complete crap.

What he really thinks: BUT, if we can get a deal, let’s do it.”

Anything - just to get out of this hole of Trump's (and the GOP's) making.
