FEMA denies aid to Arizona counties after disastrous monsoon floods

Source: msn/The Hill

11h

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) on Wednesday denied aid to Arizona counties after September flooding. Local officials estimate there was more than $30 million in damage to public infrastructure and homes.

“The people of Gila and Mohave County were devastated by flooding from severe monsoon storms this September. Now, they’ve been denied support from the federal government with little explanation,” Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs (D) said in a statement. “By denying much-needed relief, this administration is leaving Arizonans out on their own after their homes, businesses, roads, and bridges were decimated by historic storms,” she added.

Hobbs said the state would appeal FEMA’s denial for disaster relief. The Department of Homeland Security, which houses FEMA, did not immediately respond to The Hill’s request for comment on the matter.

However, the Trump administration has sought to shrink federal disaster assistance to states and denied disaster relief to Colorado after a series of wildfires and floods earlier this year, with strong objections from Colorado Gov. Jared Polis (D).

The state must be punished. Republican presidents don't respond to disasters in states run by Democrats. Bush had to be shamed into getting into gear when Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans. We had a Democratic governor at the time.

And we sure as hell don't have a Democratic governor. Abbott couldn't be more of a hyper-Republican asshole, even if he tried---although incompetence was FEMA's "excuse" for the shameful Texas situation, rather than political revenge. Either way, we're in trouble.

AZ went back into his column in 2024 too. I think not in 2026 or 2028 if elections are still allowed to happen.

There is always a convoluted method to the madness, apparently one that includes some beef he has with his former press secretary, Huckleberry hound in AR, which got denied as well (even with her father helping to carry out some kind of "end times" for part of 45's base). I.e., part of his "revenge tour".

A quick Wiki check showed that over 77% of the vote in Mohave county and over 63% in Gila County went for Trump in 2024. I wonder how they feel now? Maybe I should ask how many of them are even aware Trump/FEMA denied them aid?

Hell, even if they knew they would probably blame Hobbs and Biden anyway.

At a minimum, the media would talk nonstop about his fitness for office, unsubtlely hinting that the 25th should be invoked, and there would likely be calls for his impeachment on the grounds that he failed the American people in their time of need.

But Trump? Meh.

At some point, a General Strike is going to be necessary.

I am sure there are no MAGAts in Arizona that were impacted by these floods.

Those fucking Arizona Donnie Dipshit voters need to be identified and absolutely shunned by their neighbors.

Bob, ya' know, the Arizona MAGAt voter that sits in church with you is not a good person who voted for Donnie Dipshit because of the price of eggs. No! Bob is a piece of fucking shit that should be cut the fuck out of Arizona's civil society.

I am done blaming Donnie Dipshit for the bile and evil he has unleashed on America. He's nothing but a fucking sock-puppet, but Bob the MAGAt voter? He gave the fuckstick the power to do vile and evil shit to his fellow man, so I say, fuck Donnie Dipshit, but fuck Bob even more.
