These are the 37 donors helping pay for Trump's $300 million White House ballroom

Source: AP

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump says his $300 million White House ballroom will be paid for “100% by me and some friends of mine.”

The White House released a list of 37 donors, including crypto billionaires, charitable organizations, sports team owners, powerful financiers, tech and tobacco giants, media companies, longtime supporters of Republican causes and several of the president’s neighbors in Palm Beach, Florida.

It’s incomplete. Among others, the list doesn’t include Carrier Group, which offered to donate an HVAC system for the ballroom, and artificial intelligence chipmaker Nvidia, whose CEO, Jensen Huang, publicly discussed its donation.

The White House hasn’t said how much each donor is giving, and almost none was willing to divulge that. Very few commented on their contributions when contacted by The Associated Press.

Once he's done with the East Wing, next he'll tear down the West Wing.
What's after that? Probably the entire original White House.

Please Grim Reaper, finish him off NOW ...

It’s the cost of doing business. At some point corruption becomes endemic, so you just factor in the additional cost of bribing whomever it is you need to get something done. It’s like a tax. And of that means a couple million dollars for the president’s vanity project so be it, especially if it’s between that or shareholders bailing on you.

Welcome to the gangster run economy.

Rebuilding a school will take 30% for public administrator, 30% for the official above that, kickbacks for the contractor as well, eventually tripling the cost of a project that will be poorly constructed. Now we have grifter in chief demanding huge prices in advance of every agreement or project. This WH project will be piss poor design and construction. We need to get the costs to replace the destroyed East Wing defined and charge T to rebuild the structure. As it is ….The design is to line the orange ones pockets with gold!

If that platform is preserved, I might be persuaded to call it a worthwhile bribe.
