MyPillow founder and Trump supporter Mike Lindell says he's running for Minnesota governor in 2026

SHAKOPEE, Minn. (AP) — Mike Lindell, the fervent supporter of President Donald Trump known to TV viewers as the “MyPillow Guy,” officially entered the race for Minnesota governor Thursday in hopes of winning the Republican nomination to challenge Democratic Gov. Tim Walz.

“I’ll leave no town unturned in Minnesota,” Lindell told The Associated Press in an interview ahead of a news conference set for Thursday.

He said he has a record of solving problems and personal experiences that will help businesses and fight addiction and homelessness as well as fraud in government programs. The fraud issue has particularly dogged Walz, who announced in September that he’s seeking a third term in the 2026 election.

Some Republicans in the race include Minnesota House Speaker Lisa Demuth, of Cold Spring; Dr. Scott Jensen, a former state senator from Chaska who was the party’s 2022 candidate; state Rep. Kristin Robbins, of Maple Grove; defense lawyer and former federal prosecutor Chris Madel; and former executive Kendall Qualls.

twenty seven dollars or so every week or month... and he'll be making millions. Another thing he can do is to sweeten the offer and help to prime the pump of his gullible victims is by soliciting donations on behalf of a popular cause, or on behalf of someone who's recently in the news, and then "split" the donation or take a little bit off the top to add to his own coffers (as payment for use of his mailing list.)

He's always been a grifter, so this will be right up his alley. It's what he excels in.

On the bright side, maybe he'll have enough money to pay the settlements he's lost, and pay is lawyers... and maybe the suckers on his mailing list won't have enough money to give to other GOP candidates and causes.

He is so good with money - maybe use his pillow empire as collateral for Trump backed loans (oops, his pillow empire is bankrupt). I guess it will be Mike hitting the road in his 1972 Chevy Vega to campaign in 87 counties with a backseat full of pillows to keep him company.

Made a fool of multiple times and he still comes back for more.

That, my friends, is true delusion. I doubt drugs even explains it.

The level of ego and delusion needed to think that, after what he has already been through legally and socially, he should try to run for governor of the state that made him look like a fool before the nation got the chance to do it is quite laughable.

But, I guess he enjoys being a court jester. As long as he is not actually connected to the orange gibbon, they don't care what he does.

And, despite his delusions, he is not.
