Trump's honesty and 'mental sharpness' questioned in latest polling

Source: NJ.com

President Donald Trump is scoring low on two key personal attributes, according to a new poll.

The latest Washington Post/Ipsos poll found that a majority of Americans, 62%, say Trump is not “honest and trustworthy.” This includes 95% of Democrats, 70% of independents and 23% of Republicans, according to the results.

The poll also questioned respondents on whether Trump “has the mental sharpness it takes to effectively serve as president.” The results found that 47% of Americans said he does while 50% said he does not.

This includes 56% of independents who do not think Trump has the “mental sharpness” to serve as president. Twelve percent of Republicans also said he didn’t have the “mental sharpness.”

that above abortion and illegal immigration. HOWEVER - no polls have "sticking it to libs" as an option so it doesnt show up in any statistics. Yeah there are the true believers, but a lot of these voters know that a lot of it is BS but love it because it fulfills their desire to stick it to libs.

62% of respondents believe T "IS NOT honest and trustworthy." It doesnt state that respondents QUESTIONED honesty and trustworthiness.

If you add in the "QUESTIONERS" and lets add in too the Magas who KNOW T is lying but approve of it for political or entertainment reasons.... I would bet the no. would be much higher than 62%

This is a time when we need to be accurate,

Thu Feb 20, 2025, 01:01 PM
Feb 2025

These dumb fuckers have no idea that the rest of the world no longer has any trust in the US and along with Canada we are all looking at new trading partners and agreements, with those who will actually honour the agreements they make. Canada has been selling their oil from Alberta to the US at a discount for many many years, because we did not have suitable pipeline access to our western or eastern ports. Trudeau tried to get the east/west pipeline done but ran into a roadblock with our errant province of Quebec, who flatly refused to allow a pipeline through the province. Trump has changed that attitude and I have no doubt we will see the construction of the new pipeline. Trudeau did manage to get the pipeline completed to the west coast (started during first Trump term) and was completed in 2024 which now allows us to ship our oil to new trading partners and maybe even to China. We also opened a new LNG plant on our west coast for shipping.

There is a very large movement in Canada now to boycott US products and buy Canadian or any other country other than the US. As well Canadians are refusing to travel to the US for vacations. This is not just Canada but several other countries are supporting us by buying Canadian products and anything other than US.

So now and in years to come we will be trading with other countries much more than we did before and we will likely sell the US less oil and not at a discount anymore. This is not just a temporary protest, Trump has created a whole new level of "wokeness" and patriotism in our country and others that we now read every label and have new apps to tell us where a product is from. Our stores are now labelling Canadian products so they are easily recognised and our produce from which country they are from. People are passing by the US products.

It should never have come to this but it will take a very long time for people to forget, because the one thing we have learned, is the the voters in the US are idiots to have voted for him once, but twice, that is not a mistake that is revealing.

We may return to our travel in the US and even not asking where everything we buy is from, but by then we may already be in trade agreements with other countries that provide us with the goods we require and we will honour our commitments to them. It may hurt us now (and it will) but it will be the US citizens that may well lose for the long term. We consider ourselves at war, right now just tariff and economically (for now anyway) but it is a war just the same and in war you have to make sacrifices and we will do that by not buying US products. Find someone else who will provide it or decide if we really need that or can we do without it.

I actually am in the process of getting a hydroponic garden started and will raise many vegetables, for my use, even in winter.

I don't think either Tkachuk scrap (Fight 1 and Fight 2) was related to the anthem booing. These 2 often exhibit unhinge-ment in their desire to "win" at hockey. Fortunately or unfortunately, a lot of their schtick produces "winning" results for their respective teams. Putting them together on 1 team and starting the game with both on the same line, hockey fans know they were bursting with adrenaline... again towards a "game win" not to take out revenge over fans booing. I'm not here to defend their pugnacious style of play, though.

Are they MAGA? I do not know, but oddly they each are quite well-spoken in off-ice interviews, surprisingly.

Fight 3 with JT Miller (US) taking a minor bump in front of the offensive crease and then picking a losing battle with Parayko (CA), was just silly "me too" and not too smart. Again, I don't see any tie-in to the anthem reaction from the crowd.
