Jasmine Crockett Gets 'Perfectly Honest' With Red States: 'They Are About To Find Out'

Source: Huff Post

Feb 20, 2025, 02:11 AM EST

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) on Wednesday warned that President Donald Trump’s “adversarial” attitude to blue states is bringing Republicans in red states into the “find out phase.” Crockett — in an interview with MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace — pointed out that Trump was “taunting” the State of California amid deadly wildfires last month before noting what people “fail to realize” in states that are “broke” like Alabama and Louisiana.

“I can go through pretty much the entire South and tell you that they’re broke and they rely on a lot of welfare from the government, to be perfectly honest, it is tax dollars from these big blue states like New York. Yeah, they send a lot of money into taxes and then broke states end up benefiting from it,” she said. “And now they are about to find out, so we’re in the find out phase.”

Wallace — after Crockett warned that the Trump administration is driving the U.S. into a recession “at warp speed” amid Elon Musk’s cost-cutting efforts — noted that Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) suggested Republicans lobby the billionaire to preserve federal money for their states.

“Is that the new game? I mean, you have to beg?” Wallace asked. “Oh yeah, no, the divided states of America is where we live, right?” Crockett replied. Crockett — later in the interview — mentioned that Sen. Katie Britt (R-Ala.) is among Republicans who’ve “weighed in” on the Trump administration’s planned funding cuts at the National Institutes of Health, dramatic cuts to research funding that have since been temporarily blocked by a federal judge.

2. Senator Tuberville isn't adverse to what the Musk/Trump presidency is doing,

He just doesn't want it to apply to his state, or the other deep red states.
Ah, the lack of Christian values in this guy is so, so blatant.
He's got the "do unto others" part down, but plainly doesn't care for the "as you would have them do unto you" part.
Oh lord, god Trump, please don't smite us, just smite the other guys.
In return we promise to say and do nothing while you destroy our country.

Tuberville is every bit as evil as Musk and Trump.
I could say this about all the Republicans in Congress. Their love for country and the people who made it great is non-existent. They only love their position, and the money and illusion of power it brings.

https://www.al.com/politics/2023/08/tommy-tuberville-no-longer-owns-property-in-alabama-senator-may-be-a-florida-man-report-suggests.html

As of last month, Tommy Tuberville did not own a single square foot of property in Alabama after selling parcels in Macon and Tallapoosa counties for $1.4 million, according to a Washington Post report published Thursday.

And while a spokesman for Alabama’s senior senator maintained to the Post that Tuberville’s primary residence is an Auburn house owned by his wife and son, campaign finance documents and property records suggest Tuberville’s main home is in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, the paper reported.

The sale of the Alabama properties were notarized by a Santa Rosa Beach resident, which the Post reported suggested the senator was in Florida when the transaction went through on July 14.

The report went on to say that Tuberville’s wife, Suzanne Tuberville, is a licensed real estate agent in Florida and has worked for a Santa Rosa Beach real estate firm since the start of the year. She does not have an Alabama real estate license, according to the Post.

We live in a place where rage has overtaken love and kindness. We also live in a place of low information of real facts and information.

Most of us do not have the ability to analyze and determine cause and effect because we do not have the information needed to do it.

For example: Why is there a dramatic hike in the price of eggs? Here are some reasons:
1. Birds have started contracting a virus that we named "Bird Flu." This virus is affecting wild birds as well as chickens and it is spreading.
2. Chickens have been contracting Bird Flu and dying--millions of them as a matter of fact.
3. This has caused a shortage of eggs due to a supply issue. The chickens need to be "replenished" in order to lay more eggs.
4. When there is a shortage of a commodity, the price will increase to the consumer. The bigger the shortage becomes, the higher the price of eggs becomes. The increase in price will not stop until we have enough chickens laying eggs to satisfy our consumption.

This further extrapolates to stopping the Bird Flu virus, which has already crossed over to several animals--including a handful of humans that have been handling chickens.
1. The US government started conducting scientific research to determine if current flu vaccines will also protect humans from getting this new virus. 2. Because it is contagious, if our current flu vaccine does not protect humans, then a new flu vaccine needs to be developed to stop Bird Flu from spreading in the human population; thus, preventing a pandemic that could kill many humans.
3. Now Trump, Elon Musk, and the installed Project 2025 people in our government are shutting down our government research facilities and firing scientists to "save money" so that they can give more and bigger tax breaks to the wealthy.
4. Ask yourself if you are in any way comfortable with having another COVID-19 type epidemic.

Another example: the Trump, Elon Musk, and other Project 2025 people installed in our current government have shuttered USAID because it "costs too much" and they want the money being spent helping needy people around the world to stop so that they can funnel the money to the wealthy in tax breaks. Ask yourself, how will this affect our economy?
1. Our government buys millions of dollars of wheat, corn, etc. from OUR farmers, which it ships to places in need across the globe.
2. What harm will shuttering USAID do to our nation's economy and our agricultural industry?
3. Ask yourself if you are in any way comfortable with helping to destroy our farmer's livelihoods and incomes in order to provide tax cuts to the wealthy?
4. Ask yourself who will grow the crops that feed US if we allow this administration to destroy our agricultural community.
5. Ask yourself how this will personally affect you and the cost of food when we lose the farmers that are providing the crops that feed you.

I could go on but what I am actually after is spreading the cause and effect far and wide to get people thinking about what is happening and how it affects each and every one of us. Please feel free to add more cause and effect to share. I am posting this comment here but I will finish by also posting it to my Facebook feed.
