Two men detained at Vice President Harris' home during curfew

Source: KTLA 5 news

Police confirmed to KTLA that officers detained two people at Vice President Kamala Harris’ home in Brentwood during curfew hours on Saturday.

The Los Angeles Police Department said a call came into the West L.A. station around 4:40 a.m., reporting a potential burglary on the Vice President’s property.

Officers responded to the residence located on Bundy Drive, north of Sunset Drive, and found two individuals on the property.

Some reports said the subjects were two men dressed all in black, but that detail has yet to be confirmed by police.

LAPD said officers detained the two people who were breaking curfew, but have since released them as they found no evidence that they were committing a crime.

14. The sheriff has been adamant about booking people. I'm not sure what the LAPD has had to say about this.

"dressed in all black" is always a strange comment implying some kind of guilt, yet the cops are always dressed in the same color.

Breaking and Entering While White. Penalty: Cops question them, have a laugh, share hot coffee, release.

Now, if it had been B&EWB . . . .

There's more to the story. It could have been family. Or special forces or something like that.

16. Doesn't actually say they broke in, entered, or took anything.

Key words are "potential burglary".

They might have been cited for curfew violation. As for trespassing, might have been on back patio or might have been standing in the driveway.

I certainly don't know. But had they been inside, or outside with a door broken down or window busted out holding stuff from inside, they'd have been arrested.

I've always imagined them being a little more proactive, but if nobody was home, maybe that's not their job. They protect people, not property without people in them.

They have a handle on it (at least for 8 more days).

Now it's only conjecture.

They were found ON THE PROPERTY but couldn't find evidence of a crime?

REALLY?

Isn't it a crime just being on the property?

Doubt they were even aware it was the VP's house or the story would have been reported quite differently.

Perhaps they were hired to protect the property from potential looters? And once they provided proof they were let go. Obviously just speculation on my part.

If I dress head to toe in black and and traipse around on Mar-a-Lago property at zero dark thirty, I can be let go with no charges? Cool!
