Bidenomics Was Wildly Successful The president's domestic record wasn't just extraordinary.
Source: newrepublic
No one can yet say for sure why such a strong economy led to a definitive loss for the sitting administration. But however voters felt about President Joe Biden and Vice President Harris's management of inflation--or immigration, or crime, or anything else--the fact remains that the administration oversaw an incredible economic recovery and then kept it going. None of that would have been possible without the Biden administration's embrace of novel economic policy, now known as "Bidenomics."
By nearly every metric, Bidenomics was a roaring success. It would be a mistake to ignore or forget the lessons that can be gleaned from the administration's robust economic policy. Their present discontent notwithstanding, Americans will undoubtedly miss this economy when it's gone.

Since WWII, the economy has performed better under Democratic presidents. So why do people think Republicans are better

**Want A Better Economy? History Says Vote Democrat**
1. Personal disposable income has grown nearly 6 times more under Democratic presidents
2. Gross Domestic Product (GDP) has grown 7 times more under Democratic presidents
3. Corporate profits have grown over 16% more per year under Democratic presidents (they actually declined under Republicans by an average of 4.53%/year)
Average annual compound return on the stock market has been 18 times greater under Democratic presidents (If you invested $100k for 40 years of Republican administrations you had $126k at the end, if if you invested $100k for 40 years of Democrat administrations you had $3.9M at the end)
4. Republican presidents added 2.5 times more to the national debt than Democratic presidents
5. The two times the economy steered into the ditch (Great Depression and Great Recession) were during Republican, laissez faire administrations

Trump will be first president since WWII to lose jobs during tenure. The U.S. lost 140,000 jobs in December 2020 in the final jobs report of Trump's presidency. This means the nation has about 3 million fewer jobs than it did 4 years ago UNDER THE BLACK GUY --OBAMA, meaning Trump will be the first president to lose jobs over his term since employment data was collected in this way. NBC News Now correspondent Simone Boyce explains how it all unfolded.

DEBT AND DEFICIT
Trump Built a National Debt So Big (Even Before the Pandemic) That It'll Weigh Down the Economy for Years The "King of Debt" promised to reduce the national debt -- then his tax cuts made it surge. Add in the pandemic, and he oversaw the third-biggest deficit increase of any president. https://www.propublica.org/article/national-debt-trump
The national debt has risen by almost $7.8 trillion during Trump's time in office
TRUMP HAD THE THIRD-BIGGEST PRIMARY DEFICIT GROWTH, 5.2% OF GDP, BEHIND ONLY GEORGE W. BUSH (11.7%) AND ABRAHAM LINCOLN (9.4%).--All Republicans
Republican tax cuts are the driving force behind the country's worsening fiscal outlook.
If not for the Bush tax cuts and their extensions -- as well as the Trump tax cuts -- revenues would be on track to keep pace with spending indefinitely, Instead, these tax cuts have added $10 trillion to the debt since their enactment and are responsible for 57 percent of the increase in the debt ratio since 2001

We need to reach people who are undecided or unsure ,but if the horrible things he said and acted out did not make them uncomfortable, then there is no sense in trying to reach them. (808 posts)Trumps bluster appeals to certain voters. When you vote on emotions positive or negative. There is no mind to change. Voting for a 2 bit conman who hates you and lies to you . You are not going to convince people who are not logical to vote for a candidate that doesnt touch their gut. People have tried with family members, friends and colleagues. They wont let go ,and I invite people who feel they can be reached to find a Maga and give it a try.

Perhaps they agree with him.

They blocked legislation, they mocked his family, and then they voted for trump.
Stop acting like if we just understand them and dont speak ill of them they will vote for a democrat. There is no reason he should have one over vice president Harris, a competent biracial woman who spoke in complete sentences. I will not stop calling them out, because they dont give a damn about this country. You try having a conversation with them and do not threaten me with they may not. Vote for democrats in the future. I no longer care about them or their votes.

In short it took4 years and a village of people with one person really heading it up--it was his baby, we are trying to make the public more and more aware that democratic administrations arent perfect but they are are the ones that move the country forward
I think Bill Clinton mentioned in his speeches--it got a slight mark becuase of a technicality but the gist is true
Since the end of the Cold War in 1989, America has created about 51 million new jobs. I swear I checked this three times. Even I couldnt believe it. Whats the score? Democrats 50, Republicans 1, Clinton told the audience at the United Center in Chicago.

(714 posts)1 - far too many who are not educated and/or have the skills for a living wage job
2 - far too many who did *not* save enough for retirement. Forgetting the social security is supposed to be supplemental. I cannot tell you how many widows in my area *never* worked after the kids were raised/got so old.
3 - from an article - economy is good so some fear their taxes will increase.
4 - we have far, far too many incels and otherwise unsocialized/coddled young males. I remember 20 years ago too many of the males in kiddos dorm getting a) wake calls from mommy, b) visits from mommy to clean their dorm room and do their laundry, c) sending the latest video game FedEx overnight to them (I kid you not).
