Michael Flynn loses defamation lawsuit over Putin and QAnon accusation after failing to affirm to court that he is not Q

An appeals court in Florida affirmed the dismissal of a defamation lawsuit filed by Michael Flynn against political strategist and Lincoln Project founder Rick Wilson, who accused the former national security adviser to Donald Trump of being a “Putin employee” as well as the leader of the conspiratorial QAnon movement.

The three-judge panel on the Second District Court of Appeals upheld a lower court’s ruling, which reasoned that Wilson’s comments were protected by the First Amendment.

Last year, Flynn filed a lawsuit seeking $50 million in damages from Wilson and a permanent injunction barring Wilson from continuing to defame him. Wilson sought and was subsequently granted a motion to dismiss the case by a trial court. Flynn then appealed the decision.

The appellate court’s Wednesday ruling came just one day after a federal judge in Florida tossed a different $50 million defamation lawsuit filed by Flynn which accused the federal government of maliciously prosecuting him for lying to the FBI about his contacts with agents of the Russian government. Flynn ultimately pleaded guilty to that crime and was later pardoned by Trump.

1. Flynn did indeed accept payment from Putin in exchange for traveling to Russia to meet with Putin.

If you don't want to be called "Putin's employee" then you shouldn't accept payment from him to do his bidding. That's kind of how employment works.

Gracious, I hope I don't get sued for this.

2. Good. But too bad years ago Flynt wasn't reduced in rank to PV1 to diminish his robust retirement pay.

evade Federal action by another infamous figure from conspiracies past. Major General John Singlaub of Iran-Contra monkey business is noted as follows : "In January 2020 Singlaub used the "America's Future" of Phyllis Schlafly to plead with Attorney General William Barr to "free Mike Flynn, drop the charges". That is sourced from the Wiki page on Singlaub. Singlaub like Flynn sort of went on his own definition of what foreign policy and military conduct should be. Sort of like a Brigadier General Jack D. Ripper in a sense.

Suffice it to say that Westmoreland thought highly of Singlaub as did Reagan. Says a great deal right there. There are plenty of dead Nicaraguan women and children who would find nothing to praise. For any of us who may have forgotten how awful the Reagan years and the Contras were I am including the Wiki page for the Contras also. Note how some of the tactics used are also seen in the Middle East on 10/7 and in response since. Also note the "denial" and finger wagging disapproval of the US government regarding human rights violations. Sort of the US SOP around the world for many decades now. Lastly note the references to the "journalists" in the media who were "on board" and could be counted on to spout the government line of lies.

Memories of things we lived through that we wish we could forget.
