Unidentified drones spotted over three UK airbases, US air force confirms

Source: Guardian

A number of unidentified drones have been spotted over three airbases in Britain, the US air force has confirmed.

“Small unmanned aerial systems” were seen between 20 and 22 November over RAF Lakenheath and RAF Mildenhall, in Suffolk, and RAF Feltwell, in Norfolk.

The USAF, which uses the bases, said it was unclear at this stage whether the drones should be considered hostile.

And its origin was unknown, proved after they found the debris, to be a weather device/drone of some sort.

Russia's invasion of Ukraine increased tensions and nuclear brinksmanship.

After 15 years, the USAF is returning to UK with its nuclear weapons.

US government documents indicate that RAF Lakenheath, which is used solely by the USAF, is being prepared to store nuclear weapons again. (Google Earth)

Drones are cheap.

Russia? Sure. #1.

China? Why not. There's EU-Chinese tensions.

Iran? Iran hates Britain almost as much as it hates the US.

ISIS or some other knock-off terrorist group or terrorist-wannabe planning something? It's possible.

Given claims that nukes might be returning to GB, maybe some anti-nuclear folk or anti-military folk in general.

Wonder what sigintel's picking up from them?
