Dem Senator Says They're Prepared To Do 'Whatever It Takes' Against Trump

California Democrat Sen. Alex Padilla on Saturday told MSNBC host Al Sharpton that Congressional Democrats are prepared to do “whatever it takes” in response to nominations and appointments made by president-elect Donald Trump for members of his cabinet in the next administration.

On the latest PoliticsNation on MSNBC, Sharpton opened the show on the topic of Trump’s appointments and nominations, saying that it “now appears” the next Trump administration will be “more radical, vindictive, and dangerous than anyone could have guessed.” He brought up Saturday’s nomination of energy company CEO Chris Wright to the Department of energy as an example of that radical agenda, and added Matt Gaetz, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and Pete Hegseth as further evidence of what he called vindictive and dangerous picks.

After that intro, Sharpton turned to Padilla, who sits on both the Senate Judiciary Committee, and the Senate Committee on the Environment and Public Works, asking what Democrats are “prepared to do” in response to these picks. “What are Democrats prepared to do in response? Whatever it takes,” Padilla replied, although it was not entirely clear what that meant.

“Donald Trump is way beyond making a mockery of what an incoming president should be doing, regardless of who’s in the majority of Congress,” Padilla added. He then said giving former Democrat Tulsi Gabbard any access to classified intel undermines national security before going off on Gaetz as an Attorney General nominee.

My only surprise is that MTG and Bobert didn't get positions along with Gaetz.

Of course, mango Mussolini needs some loyal thug henchmen left in the legislature.

It's a fool's errand.

The republicans are very clever. There has never been, nor will there be, a worse President than Trump. That's the new standard. And republican voters will multiply, be dumber and more misinformed. If Trump doesn't kill them faster.

By doing a recount and then asking Harris and Walz to speak about what happened.

If Trump had lost, he would be out talking to his minions. Telling them what crazy Nazi crap he believes.

So why are our Democratic nominees staying so quiet? I would have thought they at least learned 1 thing from him. That one thing is communicate, communicate and communicate. It's one of the reasons he won

These are not normal times. A lot of Americans have voted for a Nazi dictator. Normal times would call for stepping back and letting the new leader lead. But when a Nazi dictator is installed that is NOT the time to step back. It is Not something the opposition should be doing.

Did our Democratic leaders believe what they said at the rallies? Has Trump's rigging of the election changed their support of democracy?

Where are Harris and Walz? Why are they ghosting us when we need them even more.

They may be securing people and institutions from certain ruin. And obviously not showing their hand.

I made some suggestions, and hope that they are on the case with all dispatch.

There is little you and I can do at this point, and a damn lot that they can, and if they are doing what needs to be done, I give them the space and secrecy they need.

Expect (and hope for) the unexpected.

There's been a ton of ghosting. Check out Rob Reiner X. It was very active, but not a peep since Election Day.

Same goes for Michael Moore, although he did have one weird Tweet yesterday about Hunter's laptop.

I started a recurring donation to the ACLU.
If there is not much we can do that makes it all the more important to do what we can!
Donate to the ACLU.
They can fight in court.
If they win, we win.
If they lose, they delayed the dictator's plans.
.
Good for us either way!
