Trump is almost 2 billion in debt and the amount is growing

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by Emile (a host of the Latest Breaking News forum).

Source: CNN

Former President Donald Trump's debt obligations currently amount to around $1.8 billion, and that amount is growing every month. CNN's Erica Hill speaks with Forbes senior editor Dan Alexander about Trump's financial situation.

The big news here is that CNN is actually talking about this less than a week before the election.

This debt would prevent Trump from getting any kind of security clearance for a government contract or job.

You'd think he'd be flush with cash.
He won't live long in the Kingdom on credit cards.
He must have some overseas stashes
that the IRS doesn't know about. Yet.

Like a carnival mirror?

Btw,does anyone remember a tv commercial from back in the day, where there was a very ordinary looking couple, gazing into a side show mirror ,reflecting not themselves, but a smoking hot young couple?

Trump and his pack must have cornered the market on those magic mirrors.

It's refreshing for a major outlet like CNN to publish this.

I don't know how damaging it will be, a lot of people on the left already knew he was a debt--riddled fraud, but it may sway some undecided voters.

The cult probably won't ever see it and if they do, they will likely say "fake news" and forget about it.

He’s going to need the rubes to dig deeper than ever. Deeper than a lousy hundred grand for a cheap tin watch. So what will it be? Will he turn the rooms at one of his roach motels into time shares and offer them at the bargain price of $10 million?

Or will he resort to just plain threats?

I’m going with threats. Pay me protection money or the migrants are gonna get you type stuff.

He knows his audience.

And what will he have to offer the Saudis or the Russians? Nothing.

It will have to be the rubes who pay the bills.
They are the only ones dumb enough to keep donating to a failed campaign after the election is over.

The Arabs and Chinese might buy property from him though. Problem with that is Chump has mortgaged EVERYTHING to the hilt. Whatever he sells off, he owes to the banks and creditors.

for sale in the US and around the world. There is absolutely no reason to deal with Trump, never mind do him any favors.

There’s no quid in the pro quo. He’s got nuttin’.

Up until now there’s been the possibility that he could regain power, and that’s kept the Pukes in line. But he’s old and deteriorating fast, and there’s no way he runs again in four years. So overnight his influence there is gone, poof.

So what has he got? Nothing but the rabble that makes up MAGA.
