A distinction must be made between criminal acts and political acts.

Is it a political act or a criminal act to murder two of our citizens in the streets of Minnesota?

Is it a political or a criminal act to blow people out of the water off the coasts of Venezuela?

Is it a political or a criminal act to bomb a school for girls in Iran?

Is it a political act or a criminal act to bribe foreign leaders and to take a luxury jet as a gift?

Is it a political or a criminal act to swindle people by selling them memecoins?

Is it a political or criminal act to sell the office of the Presidency for more than $2 billion dollars?

Is it a political or a criminal act to tear down half of our White House, the entire East Wing?

There are so many actions that have taken place that the Republicans want to call "political" that are actually "criminal" in nature. Just a difference in opinion?

We need to define what is "political" and what is "criminal".

Yes. Redefining words into new meanings is the foundation of propaganda.

Commercial media that enables right-wing jargon to replace word definitions are co-conspirators. They sell out Americans for advertising revenue from MAGAts.

There should be a law…

We also need to define what is considered 'inaction' and what is considered 'action'.

Then, I bet some things get done. Or... nothing gets done and they continue to act like spoiled children who have been left home alone.

Because, for all intents and purposes, they are doing exactly that.

but the actual execution of the act will be treated as criminal.

As usual, those committing the acts will probably, at the very least, face investigations. The "grunts" will have consequences without protection of immunity or pardons. Whereas, those Cabinet members giving the orders will probably have immunity from prosecution covered either by extension of Presidential Immunity or pardons.
This is why pursuing State charges or the U.S. Government granting or recognizing the I.C.C.'s authority is so important.
