Iranians say addressing Trump's 'mental illness' head on helped secure deal

The Iranians know that trump is mentally ill and used that knowledge to get a deal

This is brilliant. Everyone knows he's crazy as his handlers deny it excessively. Iran knew what we all know & used it to their advantage. Lousy deal for us, fab move for them.

Iranians say addressing Trump’s 'mental illness' head on helped secure deal: journalist

The United States and Iran reached a tentative agreement Sunday to bring about an end to the war, which one Iranian official involved in the negotiations credited, in part, to Tehran’s unorthodox approach to addressing what they considered to be President Donald Trump’s “mental illness.”

Investigative reporter Jeremy Scahill shared a startling revelation last week that Iranian negotiators had recruited psychologists to help navigate what they believed was Trump’s “impaired mental state.” And on Monday, Scahill provided an update on Iran’s unique approach to the negotiations, which he said Tehran partially credited for Sunday’s success.

“Senior Iranian psychologists began working with the negotiating team to try to cater the messages that the Iranians were sending via mediators back to Donald Trump to try to take into account what they say as his specific mental illness and mental deficiencies,”
Scahill said in an interview with Democracy Now published on Monday.

“Almost quite clinically, they said [they] began to see this process yielding results as [they] worked with psychologists to send these communications to Donald Trump, and they credit that, in part, with getting to this point where Trump finally accepted some version of his manufactured and almost entirely false victory narrative.”

Trump’s cognitive function has come under renewed scrutiny during his second term in office, with The Washington Post reporting last week that the president was assessed by 22 medical specialists during his most recent medical checkup, a figure “nearly double the number of specialists who assessed Trump for his past medical checkups as president.” The president has also been spotted appearing to doze off during important meetings.

Obama simply unfroze some of their assets. In orange screwworm's case, it is OUR money!!! OUR service members. OUR military bases and equipment. OURS!!!

This isn't even beginning to talk about what has been done in our names in Iran, and hat is being done to the world in general.

i suppose. I bet they would rather have skipped the whole thing. But Trump certainly came out on the bottom.

What I haven't heard mentioned is Iran's water crisis. I thought Tehran had run out of water and it was causing the city to sink, losing underground water storage permanently. This even before Trump bombed a water supply. Partly their fault for not taking US advice back when we had humans in charge, but there is has also been a lot of drought. But it won't be a picnic over their no matter what they get out of this.

There is a Difference between surrender and retreat. The people that live in the US came out on the bottom by losing all international trust, respect, trillions of dollars in munitions, accusations of war crimes, lots of dead US military, and hope. The American people have suffered badly because Trump and his Republican elected officials and toadies lied to their own supporters and the entire American population, left financial scars that will take years to heal - all without anything immediately happening to actually accomplish the original hodge dodge of objectives that were given by the administration for why they chose to spend some much money and get us all cucked and punked at the same time by Iranian clerics who were more than eager to kill off dissenters. Have you heard anything about the water fights over the Colorado River, by any chance? Or just whom the state of Israel thinks came out on top?

Iran won a significant world-wide PR victory in this confrontation, while Mr. trump merely projected weakness and retreat, tail tucked, dignity surrendered, and heading home to bask in the applause of the very idiots who mistake humiliation for strength.

With the Rose Garden's destruction complete, I'm sure Mr. trump can find something else that needs to be retarred.

Democrats (and Republicans) need to bring some people in for the next two years- or we could, you know, impeach him or get him to resign?

Between taking over the US embassy and holding dozens of Americans hostage, launching widespread persecutions of minority religions, and forcing women back into second class citizenship, I have been opposed to the Islamic Republic of Iran from the getgo. But boy howdy, did they ever get this right!

The Iranians aren't the only ones who havef igured out how to use Trump's mental illness to their advantage, though. I have no doubt that Netanyu got the US into this war by convincing the Orange One that attacking Iran would make him a big hero with the American people and around the world. It probably wasn't a hard job, considering Trump's towering narcissism, but I will grudgingly give Bibi some credit for figuring out to manipulate our demented president so successfully.

Trump's incomprtence and the urgent need to remove him from office have never been more glaringly apparent. If the Republicans in both houses of Congress weren't as corrupt and incompetent as he is, he would have been impeached, convicted, and removed from office a long time ago.
