Recommended Strongly - Robert Deniro's speech at the Rise Up, Sing Out show

Unfortunately, I can't find a video yet of just his speech, but you can see/hear it here by skipping to the 2:17:00 mark in this video. His speech is about 5 1/2 minutes long.

the fact that their committee is basically an extension of the one in the mccarthy reign of terror (my term, not hers). And Lily Gladstone. What a great history lesson. Will watch the rest later today.

Jane Fonda: Take back our Flag. Many of us have been on No Kings Day, waving our Flags!

I saw the whole thing, it was encouraging, energizing, inspirational, and spoke to our hearts and souls!

I disagree with Robert DeNiro on the part about loving our country. I get how he feels about it. I just have a different approach.

I love my country, it's the fascist regime government I hate. And, yes, as DeNiro says to Traitor: Shut the fuck up!

I don't like F-bombs in a public forum. It's vulgar, and saying STFU -- while in itself an expression of free speech -- during an event in defense of the First Amendment is telling someone not to exercise their freedom of speech. Lies should be met with eloquent, powerful truth.

And saying you don't love your country will likely be turned into a weapon against us by those who are destroying our country.

I grew up during the Vietnam War and remember what was said against those who were protesting it:

America, love it or leave it.

I say America, love it and make it better.
