CA-GOV: California governor candidates make final push before primary election

CALIFORNIA, USA — With four days remaining until California's primary election, the leading candidates for governor are making their final appeals to undecided voters.

A new UC Berkeley IGS poll released Friday showed Democrat Xavier Becerra leading the race to replace Gov. Gavin Newsom. The poll found Republican Steve Hilton at 21% and Democrat Tom Steyer at 19%.

Steyer spent Friday campaigning in the Sacramento region, beginning with a stop in West Sacramento where he received a warm welcome from members of SEIU.

"Making California affordable for the working people of California and standing up for working people. That's what this race is about," Steyer said.
