Real Time with Bill Maher guests - Friday, May 29, 2026

Real Time with Bill Maher continues its 24th season Friday, May 29th (10:00-11:00 p.m. live ET/7:00-8:00 p.m. PT), with a replay at 12:41 a.m., exclusively on HBO.

This week features a one-on-one interview with Neil deGrasse Tyson, astrophysicist, director of the Hayden Planetarium, and author of the new book Take Me to Your Leader: Perspectives on Your First Alien Encounter.

This week's in-studio panel discussion will include Katy Tur, bestselling author and host of MS NOW’s Katy Tur Reports; and Fmr. Speaker Kevin McCarthy, former Republican congressman who represented California’s 20th district and served as the 55th Speaker of the House.

Will be interesting to hear McCarthy take on the Trump plantation known formerly as the House.

Thanks for posting.

His misogyny, homophobia, and cozying up to fascists is still on full display every Friday, yet many consider him an astute political commentator and a valid voice of the left. I gave him up during the pandemic when his true colors were fully exposed.

You stated “His misogyny, homophobia, and cozying up to fascists is still on full display every Friday”.

How can you say this if you stopped watching years ago? This seems difficult to reconcile. Which is it?

If you're not watching the show, are you relying on what others tell you? Is so, please name your sources.

I'm a huge fan of Neil deGrasse Tyson. We saw him at a live appearance several years ago, he's amazing!

Katy Tur along with Kevin McCarthy should be interesting as well.

And of course, his opening and New Rules are always fun.

Thanks for posting!
