from yesterday's YouGov poll

favorability of Democrats in congress:

reg voters:
favorable 32%
unfavorable 62%
unfavorability with Democrats 22%
with independents:
favorability 14%
unfavorability 55%

favorability with Republicans in congress:
reg voters:
favorable 35%
unfavorable 60%
unfavorability with Republicans 19%

with independents:
favorability 14%
unfavorability 58%

President Trump's job approval:
reg voters:
approve 38% (below 40% with registered voters)
disapprove 60%

Trump's low approval numbers have still not translated into higher approval for Democrats, while independents have low approval for both parties, signaling that they are voting with Democrats in special elections as a check on Trump. Democrats still need to convince voters that they can make a difference in their lives.

1. I suspect the high unfavorability number (62%) for Democrats in Congress is because they haven't stopped Trump.

It's not clear how they could stop Trump, but voters blame them anyway.
