Republicans are finding their voices on January 6th insurrection?

For 5 years, all we have heard is silence. Crickets.

While Democrats were trying to tell the American people what a serious event it was, the Republican Party, almost entirely, remained silent.

But in the last few days we have heard Republicans at townhalls and some Republicans in the Senate, such as Tillis, express opposition to giving money to the criminals that attacked police officers on January 6th. We have heard more Republicans mention January 6th in the last week than in the last 5 years.

It would have been a big help if they had spoken up sooner.

Perhaps Trump thought everyone had forgotten? Surely, he never expected Republicans to remember?

But when he announced that he had settled with the IRS for $1,776,000,000 dollars, many people broke their silence, including Republicans.

Because if Trump can put a legal imprimatur on January 6th, by legally settling with the "victims", history will record that he was not guilty of anything on January 6th, 2021. And, isn't it always about him?
