I always heard that Lowe's was better but then they are both huge corporations that do what they have to do for their bottom line.

That's in spite of the company's ease on diversity progress. They are not as well-stocked in my area and Home Depot has better Christmas trees that they sell for longer into the season. But as I see it, there's little way to be a consumer these days without giving to someone whose values suck in some way.
